This week the children have been working hard to show their Independence. We also looked at what it means to be Kind in assembly. Next week the children will be showing team work with Collaboration.
In the last few weeks Y1/2 have had some exciting visits out to help with our learning. Straight after half term we went on a visit to Wilton Church as part of our R.E. Topic of belonging.
We found out all about the symbols that show we are Christians. We learnt about the font and how babies are baptised. After our visit inside the church we spent some time exploring outside and looking at the signs of autumn.
Last week we were lucky enough to visit Eston Leisure Centre and took part in a sports event with other schools from the area. The children had a great time developing their ball and coordination skills.
We are happy to announce that the children raised £51 today for Children in Need. We’re so happy with the amount raised and want to thank the children and parents for their contributions.
Our lunches are provided on a 3 week rota. Next weeks menus will be week 1. Please discuss this with your child to help them with their choices.
Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.
All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.
PE Days are:
EYFS – Mrs Wardle – Tuesday
Y1/2 -Mrs Barron – Monday
Y3/4 – Miss Norton – Wednesday
Y5/6 – Mrs Harding – Wednesday
