Welcome to Wilton Primary Academy

The purpose of education at Wilton Primary is to provide all our children with the key knowledge to embrace the opportunities and challenges they encounter. The understanding of key values is embodied through ‘Wilton expects we show Determination, Independence, Collaboration and Compassion’. The academy provision supports our children to be well prepared for lifelong learning in order to have a positive impact on their own lives and the lives of others.

We believe that every step of your child’s education is as important as the one before and with this in mind, we continually provide memorable learning experiences throughout their learning journey. We are committed to developing each child’s unique potential within a secure and caring environment. We believe that our children should not only reach their best academically, but also develop a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. Our children have excellent learning behaviours, are eager to learn and are proud to be academy citizens. Please look at the weekly blog, social media posts and academy gallery to see what it is like to be a pupil at Wilton Primary Academy.

Please explore the website to find further information and if you have any questions or require additional information, please contact the academy office.

It's game day! Good luck to England. The children enjoyed showing their support on Friday and we know many will be watching the game tonight.

School is open as normal on Monday. We know the children may be tired but we will be tired together as there is still lots happening in the academy.

Well done to our summer term Diamond Standard winners.

Care- Alice
Alice is always empathetic to others and is a kind and supportive friend. She shows care and compassion to others and willingly shares her ideas in class to help others.

Curiosity- Ruby
Ruby reads at home every night and not only is her reading developing well, so is her general knowledge. Ruby is curious and always asks questions about what she has read and heard.

Commitment- Mrs Hill
Mrs Hill has shown significant commitment to the children and staff of both Wilton and Dormanstown. Mrs Hill has been the Head Teacher at Wilton for 18 years and the Executive Head across both academies for the past 6 years. Many children and families have passed through the doors and after impacting on so many, she has decided to retire this summer. She will be a great loss to the community and her commitment to all will always be appreciated.

Courage- Penelope
Penelope doesn’t always have confidence in herself and her ability but she absolutely should. Penelope is a very kind and considerate friend in the academy and she always gives 100% commitment. She is growing in confidence and this is really showing in her work across the curriculum.

Creativity- Mason
Mason is very creative and will spend lots of time making junk models, adding lots of detail and selecting appropriate materials. He can talk about his creations and the reasons for what he has done.
