This week the children have been showing their compassion. In assembly we looked at Guy Fawkes and Bonfire safety.
Next week we’ll be looking at Determination.
Was a busy few weeks for Year 5/6 at Wilton.
As part of our Geography we visited Tees Barrage.
We also visited PD Ports as part of our wider curriculum looking at the career opportunities the port offers. One of the children remarked it was ‘The best trip ever!’
In Art we have been studying the work of Andy Goldsworthy and made our own attempts at some art inspired by his style of ephemeral art.
Finally, we looked at all aspects of prejudice on Red for Racism day.
Our lunches are provided on a 3 week rota. Next weeks menus will be week 2. Please discuss this with your child to help them with their choices.
Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.
All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.
PE Days are:
EYFS – Mrs Wardle – Tuesday
Y1/2 -Mrs Barron – Monday
Y3/4 – Miss Norton – Wednesday
Y5/6 – Mrs Harding – Wednesday
Attendance every day is vital for your child’s progress unless they are too unwell to learn. It is your responsibility to inform the academy if your child is going to be absent by 9am each day of their absence. You can contact the office on 01642 453374.
This weeks winners are Year 5 with 100% attendance!! Congratulations!!
As you will be aware we are using a new app service called School Gateway to communicate with parents. You can now report your child’s absence through the app. If we have not heard from you, we will be sending out attendance messages which you can reply to, which will come directly to the team.
