This week the children have looked at collaboration and the benefits of working together, while the assembly was all about Easter and why it is important.
All of the children have worked very hard all term and we are proud of every single one of them.
We look forward to seeing everyone back after Easter on the 17th April
We have had a very busy few weeks in early years.
The children have been looking at the changing season as we moved into Spring and learning about planting and growing.
We explored different types of vegetables and planted some seeds. The local allotment owners were very kind and let us visit them. We had a lovely morning feeding the animals and looking at what they were growing.
Although the weather was starting to change, we still had a couple of very wintry days. The children enjoyed playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at Mrs Wardle!
In the last week we have been learning about the Easter story and we were very excited to have our parents come in and help us with our Easter crafts.
Did you know we do a breakfast club every morning? You can bring your child in, knowing they’ll get a good breakfast before they start school.
This is open to everyone and can be booked in the clubs section on the school gateway app.
It costs £1.20 for each morning your child attends.
This will continue in the new term.
More to come when we return after Easter
Attendance every day is vital for your child’s progress unless they are too unwell to learn. It is your responsibility to inform the academy if your child is going to be absent by 9am each day of their absence. You can contact the office on 01642 453374.
This weeks winners are……………………
Our lunches are provided on a 3 week rota. When we return we will have new menus and be starting from week 1.
Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.
All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.
PE Days are:
EYFS – Mrs Wardle – Tuesday
Y1/2 -Miss Bass – Thursday
Y3/4 – Miss Norton – Wednesday
Y5/6 – Mrs Harding – Wednesday
