This week the children have been showing off their teamwork and Collaboration.
They also learned about the value of the NHS, celebrating it’s 75th Anniversary.
Next week the focus will shift to reflection of character and Compassion.
Yet again, we have had a very busy few weeks:
All of the year 5/6’s were involved in the fantastic We Will Rock You production with Riccardo taking on one of the main roles and the 2 Thomas’ also having speaking parts.
We have had a visit from Buddy the Speech Bubble talking about ‘Speaking Out and Staying Safe’.
And finally, we have prepared and cooked a meal for our grown-ups (we hope they enjoyed it!!)
Did you know we do a breakfast club every morning? You can bring your child in, knowing they’ll get a good breakfast before they start school.
This is open to everyone and can be booked in the clubs section on the school gateway app.
It costs £1.20 for each morning your child attends.
Attendance every day is vital for your child’s progress unless they are too unwell to learn. It is your responsibility to inform the academy if your child is going to be absent by 9am each day of their absence. You can contact the office on 01642 453374.
This weeks winners are………
57 children achieved 100% attendance this week which is amazing!! Can you get 100% next week?

CBBC are looking for budding young designers aged 10-14 years old, (they must be aged 11 by September 1st 2023)
In each episode we will see young creative minds come together to create bold and colourful outfits reusing, re-claiming and upcycling fabulous fashion by using only vintage, second-hand and sustainable materials.
The children will need to be great designers but do not necessarily have to be great with a sewing machine as they’ll be paired with a creative who can help them cut/sew/stitch/paint their outfits within a few hours!
Please could our parents help to complete the survey on the link below
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LJKDGD8
Your help to to complete the survey would be appreciated as it provides valuable information on what parents think about childcare throughout the Borough and in particular, highlights areas where parental support for childcare is needed.
As always, your help and support is appreciated.
Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.
All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.
