Wilton Expects Focus

This week the children have been showing Kindness to each other and learning about Anti-bullying Week in assembly.

They also got dressed up for Children in Need on Friday and got involved with some great activities.

Next week is Road Safety week learning about how to stay safe when crossing. They will also be learning about Co-operation and Collaboration in their work.

Year 5/6 Mrs Harding Class Round up

It has been a busy few weeks for Year 5 and 6.

Having been studying WWII we visited Eden Camp (an ex-prisoner of war camp, which has been turned into a museum) where the children were able to further their learning and see things like Anderson and Morrison shelters.

We have also had our Parental Engagement and it was lovely to see so many parents attend to participate in some art with their children – they all created some great pieces of Abstract Art.

The children then applied the shading techniques learned to create their designs for their Barbara Hepworth-inspired sculptures (which will be coming home soon!)

Also for Children in Need they’ve been doing Pudsey Maths, Creating a Pudsey in Reality Composer and writing a Children in Need Acrostic poem.

Breakfast Club

Did you know we do a breakfast club every morning? You can bring your child in, knowing they’ll get a good breakfast before they start school.

This is open to everyone and can be booked in the clubs section on the school gateway app.

It costs £1.20 for each morning your child attends.

Diary Dates and Reminders

School Uniform and PE days

Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.

All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.
