This week the children showed how hard they can work with determination, our class assembly focus was on the Christingle tree dressing and the importance of Helpfulness.
Next week the children will be showing their Independence.
Over the last few weeks early years have had lots of exciting visitors as part of our people who help us topic.
Some dental nurses came to visit and taught us how to look after our teeth. Next, we had a nurse come in and show us how put on bandages. She told us all about what happens when you go to the hospital.
Our third visitors where our local PCSO’s. They came in a police car and taught us how to stay safe.
We were very excited when our final visitors came in a real fire engine! The fire fighters let us sit in the fire engine and squirt the hose.
The children have learnt lots of important and interesting facts about the people who help us.

We need your help in designing a new warm up t-shirt that sends out a simple message that ‘Football is for Everyone’.
We want to see your creative side and design a warm up t-shirt for the players during our River-Side-By-Side game against QPR during Pride History Month (February).
The chosen winner will not only win tickets to the game but all see their tshirt come to life and professionally made so that the players themselves can wear these during warm up.
The competition will close Sunday 18th December
Please send your entries to Amy.Campbell@mfcfoundation.co.uk
Our lunches are provided on a 3 week rota. Next weeks menus will be week 1. Please discuss this with your child to help them with their choices. Don’t forget Christmas lunch is on Tuesday.
Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.
All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.
PE Days are:
EYFS – Mrs Wardle – Tuesday
Y1/2 -Mrs Barron – Monday
Y3/4 – Miss Norton – Wednesday
Y5/6 – Mrs Harding – Wednesday

At any given time up to 40% of adults and 50% of children (this rises to 80% with a SEND diagnosis) have difficulties with their sleep. Yet in a recent survey, almost 60% of adults felt there was a lack of support for sleep issues. Sleep problems can leave people feeling isolated and lonely.
The free helpline is run by trained sleep advisors, many of whom are specialists in working with SEND. They can talk to young people directly, or parents (They can also talk to adults, including older people, about their sleep issues).
The helpline is open 5 times a week, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings 7-9pm, and Wednesday mornings 9-11am. The number is 03303 530 541.
