The children have been working on their determination this week. The focus in assembly was Reflection of character.
Next week, we’ll be focusing on independence.
Early Years have had lots of fun with our learning over the last few weeks. We have had several birthdays in our class and the children have been learning all about their birthdays and how we celebrate them. Birthday parties have been taking place in our home corner along with baking and decorating real cakes and playdough. We have been using our phonics and mark making to write shopping lists, invitations and birthday cards. In maths, the children have been learning all about numbers and shapes and different ways to make them. As the weather has changed more autumnal, we have been exploring what happens outside in autumn. We have been on an autumn treasure hunt and then used what we collected to create an autumn tray and leaf pictures.
We want to thank everyone for taking part, we raised a total of £138.41.
Our lunches are provided on a 3 week rota. Next weeks menus will be week 3. Please discuss this with your child to help them with their choices.
Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.
All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.
