Wilton Expects Focus

This week the children have looked at collaboration and the benefits of working together, while the assembly was all about Easter and why it is important.

All of the children have worked very hard all term and we are proud of every single one of them.

We look forward to seeing everyone back after Easter on the 17th April

EYFS Mrs Wardle Class Round up

We have had a very busy few weeks in early years.

The children have been looking at the changing season as we moved into Spring and learning about planting and growing.

We explored different types of vegetables and planted some seeds. The local allotment owners were very kind and let us visit them. We had a lovely morning feeding the animals and looking at what they were growing.

Although the weather was starting to change, we still had a couple of very wintry days. The children enjoyed playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at Mrs Wardle!

In the last week we have been learning about the Easter story and we were very excited to have our parents come in and help us with our Easter crafts.

Breakfast Club

Did you know we do a breakfast club every morning? You can bring your child in, knowing they’ll get a good breakfast before they start school.

This is open to everyone and can be booked in the clubs section on the school gateway app.

It costs £1.20 for each morning your child attends.

This will continue in the new term.

Diary Dates and Reminders

More to come when we return after Easter

Attendance every day is vital for your child’s progress unless they are too unwell to learn. It is your responsibility to inform the academy if your child is going to be absent by 9am each day of their absence. You can contact the office on 01642 453374.

This weeks winners are……………………

100% Attendance

Lunch Menu

Our lunches are provided on a 3 week rota. When we return we will have new menus and be starting from week 1.

School Uniform and PE days

Please make sure that all items of clothing, including coats and packed lunch bags are clearly labelled with children’s names, so it is easy to find their owners.

All children have been provided with a t-shirt and shorts in a bag for PE lessons but they need to have their own trainers/plimsols in school please. Plimsols will be provided if needed. As the weather is changing, you may want to send in a tracksuit for children to wear outside during PE lessons.

EYFS – Mrs Wardle – Tuesday

Y1/2 -Miss Bass – Thursday

Y3/4 – Miss Norton – Wednesday

Y5/6 – Mrs Harding – Wednesday

Easter Egg Trail

The Village Hall is organising an Easter Egg Trail during the school holidays and we would like to invite all the children to join us.

It is on Monday 3rd April between 1pm and 3pm. After the trail (a word search in the village )there will be crafts and refreshments in the Village Hall.  The event is free and all village children, together with any child who attends the school, are eligible to take part.

They will be holding a decorated egg competition in the Village Hall during the trail time. Children can bring an already decorated egg to be display and enter into the competition and will be split into different age groups.

Easter Holiday Club

On Monday 3rd, Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th April, Lingotot Redcar will be running language-based holiday clubs at Errington Primary School.

They will be singing, reading stories, playing lots of games and making crafts with a springtime and Easter theme, whilst learning lots of new words in French!

The holiday club is suitable for ages 5-11 and will include a hot meal or packed lunch, drinks and snacks.
