This week, a representative from The Royal British Legion called into school following last year’s Red Poppy appeal. We are pleased to announce Wilton Primary Academy raised £106.93, thank you to everyone who donated!
This week in English, year 5/6 have been learning about Climate change and global warming in order to write a persuasive letter to the government about addressing some of the causes.
Children have been using their knowledge of imperative verbs and using emotive language to make their letters really powerful.
In History, we have opened our topic by discussing in small groups what we already knew about The North Americans and the impact they have had. At the end of our topic, we are going to do this activity again to see if our discussions are more informed and directed.
This weeks Shine Like A Star was Shaw a random act of kindness.
Next week will be week 3 for lunches.
This week the children enjoyed celebrating meals past, present and future. With British, American and Mexican dishes to choose from everyone enjoyed their lunch!
