We wish you a merry Christmas!

As today is the last day of term for the Christmas holidays, we wish to thank all of our staff, parents and children for their hard work over this last term. We hope you all have a safe and relaxing Christmas and we look forward to seeing you when we return on Monday 4th January 2021.

Shine like a star

This week’s Shine like a star focus was to spread some Christmas cheer! This week our children have been singing Christmas songs, making handmade cards, wearing their Christmas jumpers and wishing others a merry Christmas!

Trust Christmas Video

As a Trust, we have made a Christmas video to share with our families. We hope this makes you smile!

Morrisons Hampers

To help vulnerable families over the Christmas period, Mike Hind and Carl Faulkner have helped to raise money to provide families across Redcar & Cleveland with a food hamper. Morrison’s have kindly donated the food for these hampers and we have been lucky enough to receive some here at Wilton! Every child will be bringing home a food or breakfast pack.

Practising times tables is so important in improving maths and is a huge part of number work from Y2 upwards. Please encourage your child to use their account to get as fast as they can which will help them be able to apply their knowledge to different areas of maths.

If any member of your household has symptoms of COVID-19, everybody in your household must self-isolate. You should then arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19. You must then inform the academy that you have had a Covid test and also of the result, even if it is negative. Please email – tvewilton@tved.org.uk or call the Academy office on 01642 453374.

The most important symptoms of COVID-19 are recent onset of any of the following:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
